What is Reflux?
Reflux is the backflow of acid from the stomach into the gullet (“foodpipe”) which may become inflamed and painful. This may cause you symptoms such as a painful sensation in the chest rising up to your throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation).
Do I get instant relief from taking a Nexium tablet?
Nexium Control is not meant to bring immediate relief. You may need to take the tablets for 2-3 days in a row before you feel better. You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 14 days.
How much to take• The recommended dose is one tablet a day. • Do not take more than this recommended dose of one tablet (20 mg) a day, even if you don’t feel an improvement immediately. • You may need to take the tablets for 2 or 3 days in a row before your reflux symptoms (for example, heartburn and acid regurgitation) get better. • The treatment length is up to 14 days. • When your reflux symptoms have completely gone you should stop taking this medicine. • If your reflux symptoms get worse or do not improve after taking this medicine for 14 days in a row, you should consult a doctor. If you have persistent or longstanding, frequently recurring symptoms even after treatment with this medicine, you should contact your doctor. Taking this medicine • You can take your tablet at any time of the day either with food or on an empty stomach. • Swallow your tablet whole with half a glass of water. Do not chew or crush the tablet. This is because the tablet contains coated pellets, which stop the medicine from being broken down by the acid in your stomach. It is important not to damage the pellets.
Alternative method of taking this medicine• Put the tablet in a glass of still (non-fizzy) water. Do not use any other liquids. • Stir until the tablet breaks up (the mixture will not be clear) then drink the mixture straight away or within 30 minutes. Always stir the mixture just before drinking it. • To make sure that you have drunk all of the medicine, rinse the glass very well with half a glass of water and drink it. The solid pieces contain the medicine – do not chew or crush them

Lorraine, 20 years old from a US city with severe abdominal pain and no energy for her life. He had a long history of heart failure and had been taking proton pump inhibitors since his birth. He is the first person to go for this drug and it's a good one, but I'm sure he would have taken it if it was the first thing that came out about his life.
We are having a very difficult time finding a reliable source of medication for Lorraine. He was doing very well. He's a little older than me, but I don't know that he has ever had problems. He's had no heart issues since he was in his early 20s. He is a good candidate for proton pump inhibitor drugs and should not be taken by a person who is currently taking one. It's not common, but we do see this as a potential side effect. It could be a different kind of side effect.
I was at work a few days ago. I was trying to talk with him about it, but he wasn't quite understanding and I felt a bit put off by the conversation. So he started going to the doctors and I told him I was sorry I had taken proton pump inhibitor drugs and was wondering if there was a drug you would be worried about. He was a little uncomfortable at first, but he did not think so.
At first, he thought he was taking a medicine for heart problems and he was not sure. I think he thought it would have been better to take an NSAID like Nexium if he had a heart problem, but he wasn't sure. He was wondering if he should take Protonix. I told him I was worried, but he was so frustrated he never told me he was taking a medication for heart problems. I have never seen a similar reaction. He was very happy and he's a great guy.
He's a great guy who's been on a lot of medication. He's also a good person who is willing to help and who has a good relationship with his patients. I've also heard he has a very high success rate of patients being diagnosed with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and he's very good at taking medicines.
I've been in the ER and have seen patients who have been told they don't have the same symptoms as the people on the drug. They've had a very good experience with the drug, but I don't know that it's the same in general. I have never seen patients who have the same problems and have the same side effects. So I don't want to get into that again.
I know some of you might have heard that there's a big difference between Nexium and Protonix. What do you think? What is the evidence?
Anecdotally, I'm not sure that's true. There's some evidence that Nexium is better than Protonix, and that's true. I've had patients who were taking Protonix and Nexium with a heart issue. I have also seen patients who were taking Nexium, but they were on very little. I know that it's possible to have a very bad reaction to a medication and I think that's one of the reasons it's bad.
I'm sorry I didn't answer some of the questions about Nexium and Protonix. I would like to hear from you. I know you're upset about the drug and it's not the same as the drug you were taking. You may want to see a doctor who can explain your condition to you. Please do let me know if you have any concerns. I would also like to hear from you about your experiences with Nexium. I've been there and done that.
I've had patients who were taking Protonix and Nexium with a heart problem. I have also seen patients who were taking Nexium and Protonix with a heart issue.
